REVIEW :FUNNY WITH VERY APT REMAKE

                    This is an official remake of Hindi blockbuster movie "Delhi Belly".  And a very tough job was done by director R.Kannan because Delhi Belly contains lot of adult things that was definitely not suitable for Tamil remake. But he managed well and rewritten the script very apt for Tamil audience and notably "Settai" got U certificate from the censor board.  

                    The story revolves between three journalist (Arya, Santhanam, Premji) and a smuggler(Nasar) who is searching for the missing valuable diamonds. Plot is very simple and clean. Hansika and Anjali are the leading actresses in the movie showing love interest on Arya. Their love portions are very weak througout the movie. And the movie is in very slow pace which makes audience to feel bore at some sequences. And song situations are very predictable and doesn't match with the storyline. Definitely songs disturbs the storyline.

                     Arya looking very smart throughout the movie but the character does not suit him well. Romantic sequences are nicely done by Arya. Santhanam is the key of the movie makes more laugher through his acting and dialogs. Most of the dialogs are written by his own and definitely takes appreciation from the audience. Premji had a very few screen sharing comparing to Arya and Santhanam but he done his job nicely. Premji's acting is just ok. Through the song "Nee dhanne osthe ponna" he impresses the audience.

                  Hansika as a girlfriend of Arya, Showing him a lot of love and caring without reason. And its not clear how their parents allowed her to marry Arya in the movie. Anjali on the other side working as a journalist and a friend to Arya at the beginning and a lover at the end. Its also not clear that how she falls in love with Arya and how he falls in love with her at the end.

                  Nasar as  a villain did a very decent role and make us laugh in more places including his group. All the remaining supporting characters justifies their role throughout the movie.

                 Thaman's Music is very plus for the movie. Songs are really good specially "Pooyum Pooyum","Agaladhe", and "Osthe ponna". Cinematographer did very good job in song sequences and editing is ok. work of art director gives more support for the movie.

Verdict :  

                    So overall "Settai" is just a funny movie but not a great one. And also it misses the soul of "Delhi Belly" but a decent remake which is apt for Tamil audience. Catch it if you want some funny dialogs of santhanam and enjoyable songs and romance sequences of Arya with Anjali and Hansika.
